Martin Katz is an American jewelry designer based in Beverly Hills, California.

Early life and education[edit]

Martin Katz was born in South Bend, Indiana.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and business from Indiana University in 1978.[2]

Career[edit]

Katz founded his jewelry design company, Martin Katz, Ltd. in Beverly Hills, California in 1988.[1] He began by making house calls to his few clients or inviting them into his Beverly Hills penthouse apartment.[3] His first significant position in the jewelry industry was with Laykin et Cie in Los Angeles, a jeweler inside the then prominent I. Magnin specialty stores.[4]

His jewellery has been worn by many actresses.[1] In 2008, he designed a diamond-filled bra worth US$5 million for Victoria's Secret.[5]

Personal life[edit]

He is married to Kelly Katz.[6] They vacation in Mustique.[6]
