Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is an upcoming video game developed by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the third installment in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series following 2006's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and 2009's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, and the first Marvel game to be produced and published by Nintendo. It will be in an entirely different universe than the two previous games.
The game's roster of playable characters is heavily inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), featuring several members of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Inhumans, the Marvel Knights, Spider-Verse and the Defenders. The X-Men, and Deadpool, including the majority of characters who have yet debuted in MCU are also featured as playable characters returning from prior installments. Fantastic Four, and additional characters from Marvel Knights and X-Men will be featured in as downloadable content via the post launch Expansion Pass.
