Matt Scott (born March 27, 1985) is an American wheelchair basketball player.
Biography
Matt Scott was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was on the gold medal winning US team at the 2007 Parapan American Games in Brazil and 2011 as well. He also won a silver medal at IWBF World Championship in 2006 and then won a bronze one at the same place in 2010.[1] He was nominated for the Best Male Athlete with a Disability ESPY Award for this.[2][3] He has spina bifida and competed in the 2004 Summer Paralympics and 2008 Summer Paralympics. He was the first US Paralympian to star in a Nike, Inc. advertisement. He attended University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is playing for GSD Porto Torres Wheelchair Basketball Team right now.
