Micula (Template:Lang-he, Mīqulā) is a surname of Ashkenazi Jewish origin. It is most popular[citation needed] among Jews of East European origin or descent.

The name dates back to the 11th century when many Jews moved to East Europe to avoid persecution.[1] In some countries the name is written as "Mikula", because of the Slavic influence.[2]

People with the surname Micula can be found in Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Israel, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Moldova.[citation needed]
