Economic difficulties such as inflation, unemployment, food shortages and increased political opposition after the 1974 crackdown on the press ultimately increased pressures on the General Velasco Dictatorship Period to its downfall On August 1975.

The Miss Peru Pageant was Reinstate and the winner Was chosen by votes of readers of GENTE Magazine(as the official sponsor of the Pageant) and crowned by their Directors and Marianella Chávez.

That year, 23 candidates were competing for the 3 national crowns. The chosen winner represented Peru at the Miss Universe 1975, Miss World 1975, and Miss Ambar 1975.[1] The rest of the finalists would enter in different pageants.[2]
