One day, while on a hunting trip, a young caveman named Tor along with his pet dinosaur, Tog, rescued an old man. Later, the old man gave Tor a magical club. When Tor raised his club to the sky, he became a super-powered caveman named "Mightor". Tog was turned into a fire-breathing dragon as well. As Mightor, he protected his village from evil-doers. Amongst the villagers were the chief, Pondo, and his daughter, the beautiful redhead Sheera. Sheera had a younger brother named Little Rok, who loved pretending to be Mightor. The characters had several pets, including Little Rok's [[dodo bird]] Ork and Sheera's [[mammoth]] cub Bollo.


Tor was voiced by [[Bobby Diamond]], while Mightor was voiced by [[Paul Stewart (actor)|Paul Stewart]]. Pondo, Tog, Ork and Bollo were voiced by [[John Stephenson (actor)|John Stephenson]]. Sheera was voiced by [[Patsy Garrett]]. Little Rok was voiced by [[Norma McMillan]].

Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor title screen

Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor was a science fiction animated series created by Alex Toth for Hanna-Barbera Productions, which ran on CBS from 1967 to 1969. Despite Moby's name coming first, his shorts served as backup for Mightor's. To date, the series has not been released on DVD.

Moby-Dick

Teenage boys Tom and Tub were rescued by the great white whale Moby-Dick after a shipwreck. Together with their pet seal, Scooby, they faced the dangers of the undersea world. Tom was voiced by Bobby Resnick, Tub was voiced by Barry Balkin, and Moby and Scooby were voiced by Don Messick.

Other appearances

Moby Dick and the Mighty Mightor and his friends appeared in the Hanna-Barbera Super TV Heroes comic book, issues #1 through 7 (April 1968 through Oct. 1969).

Characters from Moby Dick would appear in Sealab 2021, Tubs as child actor star "Chubby Cox", and Scooby The Seal as "Stinky Pete", whose appearances would culminate in his eyes becoming near-demonic, uttering his catchphrase "I'm cha-cha-cha-cha-delicious."

Mighty Mightor made some appearances in the Adult Swim show Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, as Judge Hiram Mightor and voiced by Gary Cole. Moby Dick appeared in the episode "SPF" voiced by Wally Wingert.
