Rashid was put in a refugee center in Sandnes, and started playing for Sandnes FK. After a stint in Moss he returned to Sandnes and Sandnes Ulf before transferring to Bryne which had a higher standing in the region.[1] In 2007 Rashid joined Sandnes Ulf again, on loan.[3] In 2008, he was loaned to Stavanger IF.[4] He did not play in 2009.
