Mohsin Khan (born October 26, 1991) is an Indian television actor known for playing Kartik Goenka in Star Plus's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[1][2]

Personal life

Khan is a Gujarati Muslim who was born and brought up in Nadiad, Gujarat. He has a strong connection to Gujarat because of fond memories of his childhood years in Nadiad and regularly tries to visit his family there.[3][4]

His family includes his father Abdul Waheed Khan, mother Mehzabin Khan, sister Zeba Khan and brother Sajjad Khan.[5][6]

Early life

Khan did his schooling from Children’s Academy, Mumbai. After that he enrolled his name at Mithibai College, Mumbai for Bachelor of Management Studies.[7][8]

During his college days, Khan started doing advertisements and also did cameos and parallel leads in a few shows.[9]

His first appearance on television was an advertisement of Ceat tyres, when he was 18, and this advertisement gained him a paycheck of Rs. 10,000.[10]

Career

Khan started his career as the second assistant director of Koyelaanchal. He made his television debut with Star Plus's Nisha Aur Uske Cousins but rose to fame by playing Kartik Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opposite Shivangi Joshi.[11]

Media

In 2017, Khan was the highest placed newcomer in Eastern Eye's 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the world, holding seventeenth spot.[12]

In 2018, he was placed at the sixth spot in the list of Sexiest Asian Men[13] and was ranked fifth in Biz Asia's TV Personality List.[14]
