Mount Eden High School is a high school in Hayward, California, founded in 1960. It is part of the Hayward Unified School District. Mount Eden is located in West Hayward, near Union City.

Demographics[edit]

2013-14 total enrollment was 1,865. [4] Enrollment by ethnicity was: Hispanic or Latino (any race), 896; Filipino (not Hispanic), 290; Asian (not Hispanic), 242; African American (not Hispanic), 202; Caucasian (not Hispanic), 115; Other, 120.[4] Students who spoke languages other than English included: Spanish, 315; Filipino or Tagalog, 41; Vietnamese, 17; other, 49.[5] Recently, 29% of the student body was rated as Limited English Speaking.[citation needed]
