MyTime is a software company headquartered in San Francisco that provides an all-in-one scheduling, marketing, and point of sale solution for local service businesses like salons, massage therapists, and pet groomers. The cloud-based MyTime Scheduler combines online booking, automated email and SMS marketing, secure chat, reputation management, and point of sale into a single solution accessible on the web or through dedicated iOS and Android mobile apps.

MyTime also runs MyTime.com, an online appointment booking website which launched to consumers in 2013.[1] MyTime allows consumers to view local businesses' availability, and then book and purchase their services online. The types of services offered on MyTime.com include health and beauty, medical and dental, sports and fitness, among others.[2] At launch, MyTime had more than 500,000 appointments available for booking.[3]

Background

MyTime was founded by CEO Ethan Anderson. Prior to starting MyTime, Anderson co-founded Redbeacon and served as their CEO.[4] In 2010, Anderson was named on Business Insider's Silicon Valley 100 list.[5]

Products

MyTime's software is designed to help appointment-based businesses manage and grow their business. The software is cloud-based, allowing business owners and their staff to access their accounts through the web or via MyTime's iOS and Android mobile apps. Businesses can choose among several different product bundles depending on their needs.

Features include:

  • Online booking enhanced by integrations with Google, Facebook, and Bing among other consumer destination sites
  • Automatic email and text appointment reminders
  • Real-time client messaging with MyTime Communicator
  • Automated marketing with customizable templates
  • Online reputation management monitoring review sites
  • Online presence management maintaining up-to-date business listings across the internet
  • Traditional and mobile point of sale system with inventory management
  • Deep analytics with revenue and operations reporting

For consumers, MyTime is a searchable marketplace where users can find and book appointments.[6] Users can search by type of service, location, and preferred appointment date and time. MyTime displays available time slots from each business that has a profile on MyTime, and the user books and pays for the appointment online.

Awards

  • Winner of 2014 Local Search Association's Ad to Action Award[7]
  • 1st Place at LAUNCH Mobile Conference[8]

Investment

In February 2013, MyTime announced they had raised a seed round of $3M in funding.[9] The round was led by Mark Suster of Upfront Ventures (formerly known as GRP Partners), and also included investment by notable angel investors such as 500 Startups, Brian Lee, Jason Calacanis, and others.[10]
