Namburu is a suburban village in the Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India.[1]
Government and politics
Namburu gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[2] The gram panchayat is divided into wards and each ward is represented by an elected Ward member, also referred as Panchs.[3] The elected members of the gram panchayat is headed by the president of the village, known as Sarpanch. The tenure of all the elected representatives is five for years. While, Secretary of the panchayat is a non elected representative, appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to oversee panchayat activities.[4]
Transport
Namburu is well linked with cities like Guntur and Vijayawada by the National Highway No 16. The Namuburu railway station is part of the Guntur division of the South Central Railway zone and connects Namburu with rail connectivity.
Education and research
