Nazime Sultan (Ottoman Turkish: ناظمہ سلطان; 14 February 1866 – 25 November 1895) was an Ottoman princess, the daughter of Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz.
Life
She was born on 14 February 1866 in at the Dolmabahçe Palace. Her mother was Hayranidil Kadın. She was the third daughter of her father and the first child of her mother. She was the elder full sister of the future Caliph Abdulmejid II.[1][2]
In 1890 Sultan Abdul Hamid II arranged her trousseaux and marriage together wither her two sisters, princesses Saliha Sultan and Emine Sultan.[3] She married Ali Halid Pasha, the son of Ibrahim Derviş Pasha at the Yildiz Palace.[2][1] The couple were given a palace located at Kuruçeşme, known as Nazime Sultan Palace.[4] They adopted one boy Şefkat. She didn't bore any children. Nazime Sultan had performers of religious music at her palace.[5]
Death
She died on 25 November 1895, and was buried in grandfather Mahmud II's mausoleum located at the Divanyolu street, Istanbul.[1][2]
