Neil Strickland is a British mathematician.

Life[edit]
He was born in 1966.
Career[edit]
He completed his PhD in mathematics in 1992 at the University of Manchester. His doctoral supervisor was Nigel Ray and his doctoral thesis was on Bott Periodicity and Hopf Rings .[1]
Since 1998, he has served as professor of mathematics at the University of Sheffield.[2]
He has received the Whitehead Prize.[citation needed]
