Whaingaroa are a Maori iwi (tribe) from the Whangaroa harbour area in Northland, New Zealand. It consists of Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa, a hapū (sub-tribe) of Ngāti Kahu, and Ngāpuhi ki Whaingaroa, a hapū of Ngāpuhi.[1]
