The city of Ningbo, in the People's Republic of China, was planning to build two 480-metre-tall (1,570 ft) twin towers called the Ningbo Twin Towers in the central core of the city. The buildings were estimated to have a construction cost over US$600 million, and were planned to be completed in late 2008.
As of June 2009, the project has been cancelled.
