Odin Records

Odin Records (initiated 1981) is a Norwegian record label established by the Norwegian Jazz Federation, while there were not many independent labels in Norway. Only major international record companies was to be found in Oslo, so Odin soon became the most important national label for contemporary Norwegian jazz.[1]

The catalogue encompasses all styles of jazz and improvised music, from ragtime to punk, reflecting the variety of musical forms existing today. The bestseller is the internationally acclaimed records by Radka Toneff. In 1994 Odin Records was licensed to Curling Legs, owned by Knut Værnes, Morten Halle and Helge Westbye.[2]
