OldTown Berhad (doing business as OldTown White Coffee; Chinese: 舊街場白咖啡; MYX: 5201) is Malaysia's largest halal-certified[5] coffee restaurant chain.[6] The company also manufactures and sells instant beverage products and mixes. It operates over 200 café outlets located throughout Malaysia and other countries in the region, such as Singapore, China, Indonesia and Australia,[7] and has plans to expand into Vietnam, South Korea and Bangladesh.[8][page needed]

Established in 1999 in Ipoh, Perak, the company was taken over by Jacobs Douwe Egberts Holdings Asia NL BV in 2017.[9]

OldTown White Coffee is a renowned Malaysian brand that has made significant strides in the Food and Beverages (F&B) industry. Established in 1999, OldTown White Coffee is widely recognized for its signature white coffee blend, which combines traditional Malaysian coffee brewing techniques with modern innovation. Over the years, the company has expanded its product offerings to include a diverse range of beverages, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals, catering to the preferences of its discerning customers.

Domestic market[edit]

In 2013, OldTown has 200 stores in Malaysia. The group achieved the 200th outlet in a period of 7 years.[10]

Overseas expansion[edit]

Singapore[edit]

As of 2015, there are 10 OldTown White Coffee outlets in Singapore.[11] These outlets are certified halal by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS).

Indonesia[edit]

Currently OldTown has 16 outlets in Indonesia in areas such as Java and Bali.[11][12]

Australia[edit]

OldTown planned to open 40 outlets in Australia in 10 years.[13] In August 2015, Australia's first OldTown outlet was opened at Elizabeth St in Melbourne, but later closed in 2017.[14]

China[edit]

As of 2015, OldTown has four café outlets in China.[11]

Philippines[edit]

As of 2023, Philippines opened its first branch in SM Grand Central in Caloocan City.[15]
