His Eminence Cardinal Patrick D'Rozario (born 1 October 1943, Padrishibpur, Barisal,[1] British India (now part of Bangladesh)) is the Catholic Archbishop of the Dhaka,[1] the highest ranked official of the Roman Catholic Church in Bangladesh.[2]

He is a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross and was ordained a priest in 1972. In 1990 D'Rozario became Bishop of Rajshahi and in 1995 Bishop of Chittagong.[1]

In November 2010 he was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Dhaka by Pope Benedict XVI.[3] In October 2011 he succeeded Archbishop Paulinus Costa as Archbishop of Dhaka.[1]

He is President of Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh. The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh, founded in 1971, is the General Body of the Bishops of Bangladesh. The purpose of this Conference is to facilitate common policy and action in matters that affect or are liable to affect the interest of the Catholic Church in Bangladesh and to be of service to the country at large. He assisted at the Synod on the Family.

Pope Francis raised him to the rank of cardinal at a consistory held on 19 November 2016. He was given the rank of Cardinal-Priest and assigned the titular church of Nostra Signora del Santissimo Sacramento e Santi Martiri Canadesi.[4]
