Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) جامعة فاروس بالإسكندرية is a non-governmental and profit making university in Alexandria, Egypt.

It obtained the license from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Private Universities to begin operation in the 2006–2007 academic year. It includes eleven faculties: Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Dentistry, Engineering, Languages and Translation, Financial and Administrative Sciences, Legal Studies and International Relations, Tourism and Hotel Management, Allied Medical Sciences, Mass Communication, Physical Therapy, Arts and Design.

Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences[edit]

It teaches various science subjects as Physics, Chemistry and anatomy. It connects the general science subjects with medicine based subjects hence the name and contain 8 departments:

  • Department of Medical Laboratory
  • Department of Radiological Sciences And Medical Imaging
  • Department of Nursing
  • Department of Nutrition
  • Department of Optical
  • Department of Prosthodontics
  • Department of Intensive Care and Anesthesia

The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences seeks to serve society by providing the knowledge needed for all that is related to human health, through educating and graduating efficient medical technology specialist.
