Pooja Bose, also known as Puja Bannerjee is an Indian television actress.[2][3] She is well known for playing Vrinda in the popular show Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, which aired on Star Plus. She was a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2014 and Comedy Nights Bachao in 2015. She is currently seen in Dev - TV series.

Career

After starting her television career with Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki, Bose was seen in the romantic show Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, in which she played the role of a simple Punjabi girl, Vrinda.[4]

She has also acted in a Telugu film titled Veedu Theda.[5] She made her debut in the film Macho Mustanaa, with Hiran Chatterjee (formerly called Macho Mustafaa, but the title was changed due to objections from Muslim clerics regarding the use of the word "Mustafaa".[6] She won a role in Raja Chanda's film Challenge 2, starring Dev Adhikari and Sujit Mondal's film Rocky, starring Mahaakshay Chakraborty. Another unconfirmed movie is Diwana Holo Mon, opposite Hiran Chatterjee.

Bose participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 7), where she was credited as Puja Bose. Her choreographer was Rajit Dev, who is the chief choreographer to Vaibhavi Merchant.[7]

After getting eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Bose is looking forward to work in Bollywood. She participated in the Bengali version of the reality show Big boss, big brother. She got eliminated after staying for a month in the house.[8]

Personal life

Puja was earlier married and divorced.[2] As per her publicist: "Puja’s husband was not from the industry".[2] She is currently engaged to actor Kunal Verma of Dil Se Dil Tak fame, whom she met when they both starred as leads in Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna in 2008.[1]
