Justin Drew Bieber (/ˈbbər/; born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, actor and songwriter. After a talent manager discovered him through his YouTube videos covering songs in 2008 and he signed to RBMG, Bieber released his debut EP, My World, in late 2009. It was certified platinum in the U.S. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber released his first full-length studio album, My World 2.0, in 2010. It debuted at or near number one in several countries, was certified triple platinum in the U.S., and contained his single "Baby".

Following his debut album and promotional tours, he released his 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and his second studio album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His third studio album, Believe (2012) generated the single "Boyfriend", which reached number one in Canada. His fourth studio album Purpose was released in 2015, spawning three number one singles: "What Do You Mean?", "Sorry", and "Love Yourself". Afterwards, Bieber was featured on several successful collaborations, including "Cold Water", "Let Me Love You", "Despacito (Remix)", and "I'm the One". His U.S. album and singles sales total 44.7 million. He has sold an estimated 140 million records, making him one of the world’s best-selling music artists, and became the second person to reach 100 million followers on Twitter in August 2017 after Katy Perry.

The My World Tour is the debut concert tour by Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber. It is Bieber's first concert tour which supports his two-part debut album My World and My World 2.0. The tour was officially announced on March 16, 2010, a week before My World 2.0 was released. The tour is supposed to have multiple legs with the supporting acts of Sean Kingston and Jessica Jarrell on North American dates and pop girl group The Stunners as well as singer songwriter Cris Valentine for the first twenty dates.

There are going to be some cool tricks, some electronic things that haven't been seen before, for sure." Also in an interview with MTV News, Bieber said, "You can expect just to have a great time. It's somewhere that you can just have a blast. It's a place where hopefully you can relate to the songs and stuff. So hopefully you guys love it."

My World is the first release by Canadian singer, Justin Bieber. It is considered to be the first part of a two-part debut release. My World, being the first part is considered an extended play standalone. It was released on November 17, 2009, via Island Records, and its follow up was released on March 23, 2010. Bieber worked a variety of producers and writers such as his mentor, Usher, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Midi Mafia and more. The songs are mostly inspired by teen romance and typical coming of age situations, and musically the album is R&B influenced pop.

The album received positive reviews from critics, and peaked at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 137,000 copies in its first week, which was at the time, the best opening release for a new artist in 2009, until the record was topped by Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream.[1] It also debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, and went Gold in a week. The album was certified Platinum in Canada less than a month later. In less than a month of release, the album was certified Gold in the United States by the RIAA, and in less than two months later, the album was certified platinum in the United States, selling over a million copies. After less than a month of its United Kingdom release, it was certified Silver by the BPI.

The song was produced and written by RedZone Entertainment's Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Terius "The-Dream" Nash, and Kuk Harrell and production duo The Movement. It is the first single released from his debut studio album, My World. It was first solicited to mainstream and rhythmic radio on May 18, 2009. It was released via digital download in the United States and Canada on July 7, 2009, and was released in several other countries during fall 2009. An acoustic version of the song, called the "My Heart Edition" was released to iTunes on December 22, 2009. The song, moderately paced with R&B, pop, and hip-hop influences, is an ode to young love. The song received positive reviews from critics, commending its production, vocals and quality of lyrics. The song was a commercial success, reaching the top twenty in Canada, US, Germany, United Kingdom, France and New Zealand and also charted in several other countries. The single has been certified Platinum in Canada and the United States.
