Shreya Ghoshal (born 12 March 1984) is an Indian playback singer. She has received four National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards including five for Best Female Playback Singer, nine Filmfare Awards South, three Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and many other awards. She has recorded songs for film music and albums in various Indian languages and has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema.

Ghoshal aspired to become a playback singer from an early age. At the age of four, she started learning music. At the age of six, she started her formal training in classical music. At the age of sixteen, she was noticed by film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she entered and won the television singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Following that, she made her Bollywood playback singing debut with Bhansali's romantic drama Devdas (2002) for which she received a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and a Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent.

Selected album

Ustad & the Divas is a compilation album, which was released on 26 November 2006 and is Ghoshal's ninth studio album. It is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, which brings three singers, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Chitra, together with the Ustad Sultan Khan. The album has a total of 10 tracks and is one of the popular album among her albums.

"Deewani Mastani" (Hindi: दीवानी मस्तानी) is a song from the 2015 Bollywood film, Bajirao Mastani. The song is composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and written by Siddharth-Garima (main lyrics), Ganesh Chandanshive (Marathi lyrics) and Nasir Faraaz (Qawwali lyrics).[1] The track was mainly sung by Shreya Ghoshal, while backing vocals were provided by Ganesh Chandanshive, Mujtaba Aziz Naza, Altamash Faridi, Farhan Sabri.[2] The song features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in the video. The song was also released as "Thindaadi Poagiraen" in Tamil and "Mastani" in Telugu on 15 December 2015. Shreya Ghoshal rendered her voice to all the three versions of the song.
