On this page you can suggest articles for display in the "Selected quote" box on Portal:World War I.

Procedure[edit]

Finding selected quotes candidates[edit]

You may suggest any quote from Wiktionary or another source that you believe may be suitable for use as the selected quote.

Nominating quotes[edit]

  1. Click on the "Edit"-button for the "Current nominations" section.
  2. At the top of this page (above the other candidates) create a third-level header with the name of the quotee and (if possible) a wikilink to their article, like this: === [[ARTICLE NAME]] ===
  3. Below this new line, add your reasons for nominating the article and then sign your nomination with ~~~~.

Endorsing[edit]

If you would like to endorse a quote listed below, please indicate by signing your name in its subsection. If none of the nominated quotes are endorsed, the will be utilized in order of nomination. If no quotes are nominated, the portal will still be updated; in this case, a quote will be selected at random by one of the portal maintainers.
