I replace Palestine in Israel since Palestine refer to the Land of Israel, which isn't a country, or to the Palestinian state, which doesn't border Syria.

I do not know where it possible to change this, but since the uprisings have 2 factions, why not use this flag, like we did with Libya? –Spesh531, My talk, and External links 03:43, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Agree, time to wp:be bold. Sans culottes 22:44, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
I disagree with changing the official flag of a country to an amalgam that is unrecognized by anyone. The flagthat flew at the Olympics is the official flag of Syria. Until thre is an official change, we should not be changing the Syrian flag here, unless people want make a political statement about the current unrest. Tiamuttalk 19:42, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
That flag shouldn't appear any where on Wikipedia. Per WP:OR Gnevin (talk) 13:24, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
No one is changing the "official flag." Like Libya, different parts of the country fly a different flag and recognize a different authority. How is this different? Yahnatan (talk) 00:15, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Because on wikipedia we don't just make stuff up aka WP:NOR Gnevin (talk) 08:37, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
