Prank Patrol (called Prank Patrol Down Under in the UK) is an Australian version of the original Canadian Prank Patrol . The show was made for the then new ABC3 channel which specialised in children's programming. It is hosted by Scotty Tweedie and produced by Active TV in association with The Australian Broadcasting Corporation. [1]

Format

Based on the original Prank Patrol series, a young adult nominates his or her friend to play a prank on, Scotty then arrives in his van with the Ninjas driving and organise their prank. They usually are assisted by someone in that prank's area of expertise. After preparing everything it is then 'Prank Day' which is the day the prank will be executed.[2]

Fillers

Ninja Mail

In this segment, this segment are clips of Scotty doing something embarrassing. Usually, Scotty denies that's himself in these videos such as hugging pot plants or scratching his back using a tree. Other times, Scotty enjoys doing these embarrassing moments such as singing by gargling, doing an embarrassing dance or eating ice cream and chips together.

Recipe For A Prank

Similar to the original Canadian format this filler is an animated short of which explains how to set up your own prank. [3] These short clips are the same as the Canadian format, but with Scotty's voice over.

Ninjas are on the Loose

The Ninjas usually go to a public place and play a prank, whether it be hiding behind a park bench and making fart sounds or putting free drinks on a table with leaking cups. These clips are from the UK version. Before this segment, the ninjas do a prank on Scotty and he replies by saying "Ninjas!".
