As of June 2015, the one way ticket from San Jose to Quepos is around 75 dollars per person, and both airlines have a baggage limit of 35 pounds (25 checked and 10 carry on). Sometimes when the flights aren't full they allow more, but flights are usually full from December to April, and from June to August. Sansa Airlines, http://crc.flysansa.com/en/home, leaves out of the same international airport that most flights arrive in SJO, Nature Air, http://www.natureair.com/, leaves out of a smaller airport about 15 minutes away, but they do offshore a shuttle service. Time Considerations
When flying on one of the smaller flights from San Jose to Quepos, during the months of January to April, make sure to give yourself 1 hour to get through customs and immigration, and 1.5 would be super safe. If coming during Easter Week or Christmas, the immigration and customs line is generally 2 to 2.5 hours long. From June to Mid August, the time needed to get through customs and immigration would be around an hour, and during the months of May, September and October, you can generally catch a flight only 45 minutes after you land as there are no lines. Add 15 minutes to all of these layover times if you are flying Nature Air as you have to switch airports. What to do if there is no flight available when you arrive in San Jose
