Rahul Sharma is an Indian businessman, founder of YU Televentures and the co-founder of Micromax Informatics.[1][2][3] He is married to actress Asin .

Business career[edit]

Rahul co-founded Micromax Informatics Limited in 2000.[4][5] and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Product Strategy and Channel Sales since 1 April 2007.[6][7]

Education[edit]

Rahul holds bachelor's degrees in commerce (B.Com.) and mechanical engineering from University of Saskatchewan, as well as attended the Owner/President Management (OPM) program at Harvard Business School.

Personal life[edit]

Rahul Sharma is married to actress Asin Thottumkal.[8] They have a daughter Arin Sharma.[9]

Awards[edit]

  1. DataQuest[10] declared Rahul Sharma as the IT Person of the Year 2016.
  2. He has also won the 'Entrepreneur of the Year'[11] award at the Hello Hall of Fame event[12] in Mumbai, in 2016.
  3. In 2017, he was given the Hindustan Times Game Changer Awards[13] for making an extraordinary contribution to society[14] and setting precedents in the field.
