Josephine, better known by her screen name Rekha (born August 28, 1970), is a Malayalam and Tamil actress who has acted in hit movies like Ramji Rao Speaking, and Aey Auto in Malayalam and, Punnagai Mannan, En Bommukutty Ammavukku and Kadalora Kavithaigal in Tamil.[2] She was born in Kerala and completed her studies at Ooty in Tamil Nadu.[3] She now works in TV, mostly in serials, and does occasional supporting roles in films.[4] She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for the film Dasharatham.

Personal life[edit]

She hails from Eramallor, Alappuzha. She married George Hapis, a seafood exporter in 1996. The couple has a daughter Anusha born in 1998. She is a devout Christian.
