Renowned Films is a TV production company founded by long term BBC Radio 1 presenter Duane Jones, and producers Max Welch and Tim Withers. Renowned Films is part of the larger entity Renowned Group which encompasses music Management and Publishing.[1]
Renowned Films has produced hundreds of hours of digital and TV content, including one of London Live’s first commissions, F2 Kicks Off [2](16x30’) along with Pranksterz on ITV2 [3] Winner’s Circle (11x30’) for Sky;[4] branded content series including FCUK following Olympic Gold medallist Anthony Joshua, as well as work for global brands Beats by Dr. Dre, Selfridges, Adidas and Nike.
In 2015, Channel 4 took an equity stake in Renowned Films as part of its £20 million Growth Fund,[5] which has seen the company grow and establish itself as one of the fastest growing indie production companies in the UK.[6]
