Reolink is a company based in Hong Kong that produces video surveillance products. It produces indoor and outdoor IP surveillance cameras and systems, including PoE, wireless and battery powered cameras.[1][2][3][4]

History[edit]

Reolink was founded in 2009 and registered in US by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2017.  [5][6][7]

Products and services[edit]

Reolink products ranges from WiFi and IP cameras to built-in 4G cameras. Reolink’s NVR can be used for storage that contains 3TB hard drive and provides 24/7 recording solutions. The NVR supports 16 cameras.[8]

Reolink app, alerts and notifications[edit]

Reolink app is available for both, iOS and android and can be used for viewing multiple cameras, playing live views, and managing the notification settings.

Also, push notification or email notification can be setup by the users. The push notification notifies through a text message while in the email notification the user can get snapshots and video clips.

The Reolink app supports up to 8 channel live streaming and the Reolink Client supports up to 16 channel streaming respectively. [9][10][11][12]

Reolink software[edit]

Reolink also has software for the Windows and Mac operators called, “Reolink Client” which can be used for multiple purposes including the downloading of video to the computer.[13]

Other products[edit]

  • Reolink Argus 2: It was the first rechargeable security camera introduced by Reolink with 1,080p HD that can capture footage at 130° and transmits footage through WiFi.  It has two-way audio, built-in alarm and its battery can last up to six months and can be charged through solar panel.[14][15][16][17][18]
  • Reolink Go: It is a wireless outdoor camera with builit-in 4G LTE.[19]
  • Reolink Keen: It is a battery powered camera which can transmit footage with 1080p and via Wifi connection. Its night vision range is 40ft and can cover the footage with 90°.[9]
  • Reolink C1 pro: It is battery powered and captures footage with 1440p with night vision range of 40 feet and can be connected through Wifi or Ethernet. [9]

Funding[edit]

Reolink Argus sought funding via crowdfunding on Indiegogo with the initial aim of $25000 but successfully raised $1,034,262.[20][21]
