  1. ^ Perreault sat as an independent at dissolution then joined Strength in Democracy after writ was dropped.
  2. ^ Bernardo is a candidate for the Communist League,[1] which is not a registered political party and ineligible to be listed on the ballot. Being listed as No Affiliation means that she left the party affiliation section of her candidate registration empty.
  3. ^ Sat as NDP at dissolution; joined GPC after writ was issued.
  4. ^ Jacob Kearey-Moreland describes himself as a Cooperative Interdependence candidate.[2]
  5. ^ Sears is the leader of The New Constitution Party of Canada[3] which is ineligible to be on the ballot; he chose to be listed as an Independent.
  6. ^ Jagdish Grewal was expelled by the Conservative Party on 6 October; because no changes can be made to the list of confirmed candidates after 28 September, he will still be listed as the Conservative candidate on the ballot.[4]
  7. ^ Bory is leader of The Maple Party[5] which is ineligible to be on the ballot; he has chosen to be listed as an Independent.
  8. ^ Young is a candidate for the Communist League[6] which is ineligible to be listed on the ballot; he has chosed to be listed as Independent.
  9. ^ Gordon Campbell is running to provide a "none of the above" option for voters.[7]
  10. ^ Gary Adams was selected as the Green Party candidate for Kelowna—Lake Country when he pledged to immediately resign and support the Liberal candidate, Stephen Fuhr.[8] The party's federal leadership asked him not to resign or endorse Fuhr and Adams relented. Adams eventually registered as a candidate but soon withdrew and the party decided to respect local party members' decision to not run a candidate.[9]
  11. ^ Cheryl Thomas publicly withdrew from the election 30 September;[10] her name will remain on the ballot as a Liberal candidate because no change can be made to the list of candidates after 28 September.[11]
