Roosevelt Union Free School District (RUFSD) is a public school district in the hamlet of Roosevelt in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, that is the only school district in New York to ever be taken over by the state. But recently the state gave control back to the district. Roosevelt is rising and becoming better than ever.[1]

Roosevelt is making history by implementing new learning solutions, setting higher standards for students and teachers. This district is on the move like never before.
