S Ahmed Meeran (born 31 July 1995) is a Singer, Digital content creator and Social media influencer from Port Blair, who predominantly creates content in Tamil language in social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

He is popularly known for his troll[1] vines and roast[2] videos in Instagram. He is the first ever-popular social media content creator from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Early and personal life[edit]

S Ahmed Meeran was born and raised in Port Blair. He was born to Mr.S. Shahul Hameed and Mrs. S. Saira Banu. He has an elder sister, named Fathima. He completed his schooling from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya.[3]

He was a gold medalist and topper in the Class 12th CBSE Board examinations.[4][5] He graduated from NIT Durgapur[6] in the year 2017, under mechanical engineering stream. He is currently pursuing his MBA Degree from IIM Kashipur.[7][8]

He is known for his Video Jockeying skills in his hometown in a TV Channel called City TV and for his high school educational achievements.

Ahmed is well versed in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, English, Bengali, Malayalam and can read and write in Arabic too.

Ahmed has recorded songs for a couple of musical albums in the past and he has done over a 100-stage shows as a lead singer and host in his hometown Port Blair, under his family band named Indradhanush Musical Association.

Social Media[edit]

In the year 2018, Ahmed started posting singing videos in his Instagram. Later he started posting comedy troll[1] and roast[2] video contents on his Instagram. His profile got a big boost once he started creating Troll contents on the popular TV Reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2[9], in 2018. His Instagram profile ahmedmeeranoffl[10] is being followed by more than Two Hundred Thousand people.

He was formerly an active TikTok user with hundred thousand plus followers[11] where he posted his vines and trolls but later shifted purely only to Instagram as TikTok started to lose credibility[12] in India.[2]

He started posting videos in his YouTube channel Ahmed Meeran recently and his channel is being subscribed by over 18 thousand YouTube users.

A series called "TikTok Vaasigal"[10] on his Instagram profile, in which he roasts Weird TikTok videos, is one of the most popular and highly received Instagram Series among Tamil Instagram Users. It became so famous that, even some YouTube channels[13] claimed fame from those videos.

His recent music collaboration Tamil vs Telugu Mashup with a popular YouTube Independent Musician was highly received by over a million people in a short span of time.

Currently, he is one of the fastest growing Social Media Content Creators in Tamil Language.

Awards[edit]

S Ahmed Meeran was the topper in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Class 12th CBSE Board examinations,[4][14] with an overall score of 96.6%.

He received the Ajay Mathew Gold Medal for being the Island Topper and an additional gold medal for getting the first place in the Science stream,[15] from the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the year 2013.
