Sadiqabad (Urdu: صادِق آباد‎), (Punjabi: صادق آباد) is a city and capital of Sadiqabad Tehsil in Rahim Yar Khan District, Punjab province of Pakistan.[1][2] It is situated at the border of Sindh and Punjab. Sadiqabad has Cholistan desert attached to it.

History[edit]

It is believed that Sadiqabad is renowned by the name of Nawab Sadiq.

Demographics[edit]

The population of Sadiqabad is 500,000 in 2017. There are 80% of population are Punjabi, 10% consist of Saraiki, 3% consist of Pashto people and 7% others.

There are different ethnic group who are migrated from different part of countries.

Balochi, Brahvi, Saraiki, Sindhi and Punjabi speakers are found.
