Zoya Khan (born Sana Khan[1]) is an Indian actress,[2] model and host by profession. She gained wide attention in a Delhi beauty pageant and was crowned Miss Beautiful Skin and runner-up. In the year 2011, she moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in acting.

Early life[edit]

Zoya Khan was born to Muslim parents of Pashtun ancestry in New Delhi, India. She is a niece of Delhi Cabinet Minister Haroon Yusuf. A painter & badminton player by hobby, she started her career as a Model and Anchor/Host. She was the inter-school basketball and badminton player during her school and college days.

Modeling career[edit]

Zoya started her career in 2010 as a model and has done numerous commercials and print media endorsing brands like Fanta, L’Oreal, Flying Machine, Airtel, Warner Brothers, Bank of India, Blackberry phones, Reebok and for many designers.

Events and other work[edit]

Zoya Khan has been hosting events and shows since her school days. As an Anchor/Host, she presented numerous shows & live events Comedy Night shows, Asian Open Kick-boxing championship, Musical Concerts, Entertainment & Fashion shows and New Year’s Eve events across India & abroad.

Acting career[edit]

Zoya Khan made her debut on the small screen in an Ekta Kapoor television serial named Bairi Pia from Balaji Telefilms. After appearing in the serial's first season last year Jai Maa Vindhyavasini This year (2014) She did a Reliance show LOVE DOSTI DUA, a rom-com, on Big Magic channel, in a Lead as ‘TULIKA', a lively, bubbly and chirpy character.

Movies[edit]

Zoya Khan made her Film debut as a lead artist, in a romantic SHORT FILM titled Machhar-Daani, a mosquito net, as Ruhi for which She also won her First BEST ACTRESS AWARD for her outstanding performance, among 216 films screened from over 46 nations, in the Kolkata International Short Films Festival 2013. Recently she made her Debut in a Telugu Feature Film A Shyam Gopal Varma Film, as the LEAD ‘Sharmila’.
