Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) is the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) division of SAUDIA airlines based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at King Abdulaziz International Airport. With more than 5,000 Technical Operations employees and 45 maintenance stations worldwide, It provides aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. SAEI holds a Part 145 FAA Repair Station certificate. It is part of Saudi Arabian Airlines.[1]


SAEI holds a GACA, FAA, EASA, IOSA, UAE GCAA, CAAP Philippines, ISO-9001:2008 Qatar QCAA, Kuwait DGCA, Cayman Islands CAACI, Bangladesh CAAB, South Korea MOLIT, KSA SAC, A2LA, and GACA 147 for the Technical Training School.[2]

Line Maintenance, EcoPower Engine Wash, Light & Heavy Maintenance including major modifications/repairs, engine change, borescope inspection, SSI’s, upgrades, cabin refurbishment & seats reupholster and aircraft recovery, Component and Engine/APU Repair & Overhaul, Thrust Reverser Repair, Industrial Parts Repair, Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing, Equipment & Tooling Calibration and Fluid Analysis, Fleet Technical Management including aircraft/vendor selection, fleet integration, development/planning of maintenance events, MCC, Technical Training, Supply Chain & Logistics and GSE Maintenance.[2]

New Maintenance Facility[edit]

In 2013, SAEI broke ground on a 10,764,000 -square-foot (1,000,000 m2) new facility at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, KSA. The new facility houses 12 hangars, a state of the art warehousing facility, a shop complex, and a new engine overhaul center with a 150K Lb/Thrust test cell and is expected to employ over 7500 technical & engineering staff by 2018.
