La Serra del Montsec is a calcareous mountain range about 40 km long and 18,696 ha in area, located in the Catalan province of Lleida and the Aragonese province of Huesca in Spain. The range is perfectly orientated East–West and two rivers bissect it in impressive cliffs (Terradets and Montrebei). These rivers divide the range into three sections: from west to east El Montsec d'Estall (in Aragon), El Montsec de Rúbies and El Montsec d'Ares.
