Shampa Reza is a Bangladeshi model and actress.[1][2]

Early life and career

Reza started singing at the age of four.[3] She went to Shantiniketan to study in Visva-Bharati University in 1976. Her instructor was Guru Pandit Druvu Tara Joshi.[3][4]

In 1975, when she was in grade 10, her acting career began with a role in the play Ostrotogandha, directed by Selim Al Deen.[3] She got her breakthrough by acting in the TV drama Idiot.[4][5]

Reza acted in the movie Guerilla, released in 2011.

Personal life

Reza has two sons – Dhrubo and Tiash.[4]

Her current husband is Syed Tapan Haque

She is the founder of the schools Anando Niketan and Rodela Chottor, where she teaches Indian classical music at the children's club.[4]
