Shanice was born in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, France. She was raised in Paris and attended Cours Florent, a private French drama school until she was sixteen, when she moved to London to train and work as an actress.
After three years of training in London she was called to New York to audition for a wide range of roles, including Criminal Lovers. After taking some minor acting roles, including one of the lead dancers in Kid Cudi music video for "Day 'n' Nite" in 2010 and a small part in Marc Fitoussi 2010 film Copacabana. Shanice left professional dancing for a full-time acting career. Her first major movie role was in Franco-Canadian's Nos 18 ans.
