Shergarh is a small village in the Sirsa district of Haryana, India, abutting the border of Haryana and Punjab. Most residents are agriculturists. One third of the population consists of Hindu Jats, mainly Godara, one third are Jat Sikhs, and the rest of population is of landless laborers, a mix of Hindus and Sikhs.
