This is a list of active ships of the Brazilian Navy, complete and correct as of 2018. The Navy has approximately 112 ships in commission, including 39 auxiliary vessels. 8 of the commissioned vessels are frigates of British origin and five are conventional attack submarines of German origin.

Future ships[edit]

The following ships are under construction, planned, or desired. The Navy's modernization program plans the development and acquisition of 15 conventional submarines (SSK), 6 nuclear attack submarines (SSN), 30 frigates and destroyers, 5 logistics support ships, 2 aircraft carriers, and others.[14]
