Sommokadidi Sokokadidi is a 1978 Telugu-language Indian film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Kamal Haasan plays a double role as an honest doctor and a happy-go-lucky youth. He was paired with Jayasudha and Roja Ramani. The film was well supported by Prabhakar Reddy, Sarathi, Pandari Bai, Kanta Rao, Ramaprabha and C. S. Rao. This was the first film of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and Kamal Haasan together.

The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Iru Nilavugal and Malayalam as Jeevikkaan Padikkanam[1]. The film was remade into Hindi as Hum Dono and in Kannada as Gadibidi Krishna.

Plot[edit]

Sommokadidi Sokokadidi is the story of a well respected Doctor and his look alike, who identifies that his face is similar to that of the Doctor. So he plots a plan to take the Doctor's place when he is away from Hospital and he starts to pretend the doctor. One day the doctor discovers he has a look alike. He is pretending himself as sekhar. Shekar goes to ranga's house but fall in love withe ranga's cousin sister at the first sight in that same time ranga also falls in love with sekhar's fiancee. At that climax seen reveals that ranga and shekhar are ideantical twins. Some goons kitnapped sekhar for money. Both brothers are reunited and marrie they are respectabile lovers.

Trivia[edit]

The film was dubbed in Tamil language as Iru Nilavukal released on March 16 and had a good box office outing, but the voice of Kamal Haasan was dubbed by Y. G. Mahendran in Tamil.
