The Southern Daily (Chinese: 南方日报; pinyin: Nánfāng Rìbào) is the official Guangdong Communist Party newspaper. The paper was established in 1949. It is eponymous to the more lively and commercial Southern Metropolis Daily and part of the giant Nanfang Media Group.
In March 2018, the Southern Daily won the Third National Top 100 Newspapers in China.
