Background[edit]

Spencer was born on May 18, 1991 to a father of African and Jamaican descent and a Liberian mother. He grew up in Rego Park, New York and attended Christ the King High School in the affluent suburb of Middle Village, and graduated from North Dorchester. Spencer was a member of his high school track team; where he became regional champion for high jump in 2007, and went on to compete in the Maryland state championship.[8][9] He also made it to the Bayside Conference where he competed in high jump with a knee injury and came in 7th place at the championships.[10] He made his acting debut for a Johnson & Johnson commercial in 2012 and joined Sag shortly after.[11]

Career[edit]

Spencer moved back to Manhattan in early 2010 where he was later scouted to an NYC based Model Agency; within a month Spencer was on magazine covers, clothing websites and doing shows for Fashion week. He was recently booked for GQ Magazine.[12][13][14][15] In 2011 Spencer shot with other supermodels such as Jaslene Gonzalez, Farah Zulaikha, and Stormi Henley for a major ad campaign. The new ad campaign for celebrity designer INDASHIO's "Club Kid" Collection, was shot the week of May 1, 2011; co-starring with America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 winner and dear friend of Spencer, Jaslene Gonzalez.[16] The ads were featured in NYLON Magazine.[17]
