St. Joseph's College, Hassan, is a Christian minority college that was added to the Jesuit complex at Hassan in 2009. It has an enrollment of over 300 in its two bachelor's degree programs.

Mission[edit]

The admission policy shows a preferential option for the poor.[1] The college aims at the integral formation of its students helping them to become men and women for others.[2]

The St Joseph’s hostel accommodates 25 boys. The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, South Province Bangalore, assist with the boarding and hostel facilities. Since 1996 they have also run a boarding facility for indigent girls.[3]

Courses[edit]

St. Joseph's First Grade College in affiliation with Mysore University offers degree programs in Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM). Classes run Monday through Saturday.[4][5]

The college has various clubs including a Literary Club and Corporate Club[1]
