Saint Annes were crowned the first ever champions of the Thomas Davis/Evening Herald Floodlit cup after they defeated Ballymun Kichams 2-9 to 9 points. The final itself was disrupted by severe weather conditions, however Ross Lynch and Stephen Dowling both excelled in Defense for the eventual champions.
St Anne's gained their current senior status in 1985, and therefore play in the Dublin Senior Football Championship. They are yet to win a Dublin senior championship, although they came close in 1987 when they were beaten in the final by Parnell's. In 2006, St Anne's beat O'Tooles GAA in the Division Two promotion final to regain their senior status after a two-year absence.
They have won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 1964 and 1985. Other victories include the Dublin Minor Championship, the Junior 'A' Championship, U21's Championship, the U15 Championship, the U16 'B' Championship, and a league double in 2004.
