Syrian Private University or SPU (SPU; Arabic: الجامعة السورية الخاصة) (formerly: Syrian International University for Science and Technology) is a private university located in Syria.
History
SPU was established in 2005 by a number of Academics, Syrian, foreign, Arab, Business men. Though young, SPU is a fast-growing and dynamic university in Syria, the university has improved dramatically since its inception in 2005 and considered as one of the top private universities in Syria. The SPU offers many undergraduate programs so far.
Campus
The 54-acre (250,000 m2) Syrian Private University campus is on Daraa International Highway and it is away from Damascus 24 km.

Medical Center
The SPU Medical Center is private, not-for-profit teaching center of the Faculty of Medicine. The SPU Medical Center includes 200 beds.
Undergraduate Programs
Medicine
SPU Medical School rewards Medical Doctor degree for medical students who successfully complete the medical program. The medical curriculum is 6 years long, the first 3 years are the basic science and the last 3 years are the clinical education.
Dentistry
SPU Dental School rewards Doctor of Dental Medicine DDM degree.
Pharmacy
The pharmacy program is five-year leading to a Bachelor of Science Pharmacy (B.S. in Pharmacy). The school of pharmacy has gone under major reform in 2011 with new management and new faculty. The school is seeking regional and international accreditation and apply English language as the language of instruction for at least two of the scientific courses each semester. The school of pharmacy has attracted many professors from Damascus University and other universities in the region, countries like Jordan and Egypt in addition to Syrian professors.
