TV Technology is a trade journal covering the English speaking broadcast television industry in North America. The magazine is published monthly.

History and profile[edit]

TV Technology is published by Broadcast Video Group, a subsidiary of NewBay Media.[2] The magazine is based in Alexandria, Virginia.[2] It covers television industry news focusing primarily on new technology, FCC and regulatory issues, mobile production, sports production and newsgathering as well as studio based production. Regulatory changes such as the spectrum auctions and transition to Next Gen TV (ATSC 3.0) are also regularly covered.

Sister trade publications include Broadcast Engineering Extra, Digital Video, Government Video, Radio World, Radio World Engineering Extra, Radio World International and Video Edge.

In 2014, the magazine's owner, NewBay Media, announced it was incorporating online content from Broadcast Engineering and Broadcast Engineering World on to its website.
