"Take You Out" is a song by American recording artist Luther Vandross. The song was released as the lead single in support of his platinum selling album, Luther Vandross. "Take You Out" became a top ten R&B hit, the single peaked to #7 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs[1] and was a top 40 hit at #27 on Billboard Hot 100 singles.[2]

The song was later sampled by American rapper Jay-Z in his song "Excuse Me Miss", on his album The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse, released in 2002.
