Talavera is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). Almost all species occur in the Old World, from Belgium to Japan.

Talavera is a place in Spain.

Description[edit]

These species of minute (c. 2 mm long) jumping spiders are very similar to each other. The Central European species are hard to distinguish even when their genital features are studied under the microscope. The prevalent species is T. aequipes.[1]
